GSP Youth Project

The project will address the need for more out-of-school activities that foster positive interactions between adults and children, keep youth off the streets, and teach job readiness skills.

The interns will help in the garden, plant and harvest crops; conduct nutrition and cooking workshops for pantry recipients and distribute food during pantry hours. The internship will meet after-school during the academic year and weekdays in the summer.

With these efforts, Growing Success Program Youth Projects seeks to instill neighborhood pride, civic responsibility, and job skills development for the youth. Additionally, GSP hopes the program will foster an appreciation for environmental stewardship and healthy food that will contribute to lifelong healthy behaviors.
